The Music of Hans Zimmer
& Others
A large international orchestral production coming into Australia, with a touring party spread across several countries and 58 people who all needed subclass 408 visas before a note could be played.

The brief
The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others is a touring concert production from Star Entertainment in Germany: a symphony orchestra and choir performing the film scores of Hans Zimmer and others. Bringing it into Australia meant coordinating immigration, union consultation, production planning and touring logistics for a party assembled from several countries, most of them a long way from an Australian consulate.
What Ali did
As Australian Production Manager, Ali ran the tour’s local requirements end to end and managed the subclass 408 visa applications for 58 international performers and crew. Thirty-five of them were Ukrainian nationals based in Germany, which meant documentation from two countries, a union consultation covering the whole ensemble, and an Australian sponsoring entity that had to stand behind every one of them.
Applications were built in one batch, lodged together, and chased as a single case rather than 58 separate ones. That is the difference between a visa process that finishes and one that drags.
How it went
The complete visa process, from first document request to the last grant, was delivered in under two weeks. The touring party entered Australia on schedule and the production went ahead as planned.
