The brief

Australia Day Live is a major live concert staged on the Sydney Opera House forecourt on the evening of 26 January and broadcast nationally by the ABC. It requires the seamless coordination of performers, hosts, rehearsals, pre-records and live broadcast requirements, and none of the deadlines are negotiable, because the broadcast starts when it starts.

What Ali did

As Talent Manager, Ali managed performers and hosts from initial planning through rehearsals to show delivery. Her scope covered artist travel and transfers, rehearsal and call schedules, dressing rooms, hair and make-up, catering and technical riders, accreditation, guest ticketing, contracts, insurance documentation, and the talent assistants and runners who kept it all moving.

She also coordinated the musical requirements that sit underneath a broadcast concert and that nobody sees: charts and demo tracks, lyrics for directing and autocue, APRA AMCOS reporting, music folders, studio pre-recordings and off-site rehearsals.

How it went

A coordinated artist journey across multiple rehearsals, recordings and live performance moments, delivered within the fixed deadlines and exacting requirements of a nationally televised event.
